Surya World Study Circle: The Heart of Yoga
(This event is in English language)

Surya World invites you to join a study circle to read and discuss together the book “The Heart of Yoga” from T.K.V. Desikachar.

Everyone is welcome to join! The idea is to read parts of the book and come together in monthly Zoom meetings to discuss the content (presentation by volunteers, followed by questions/comments from everyone). This will allow a better understanding of the book, as well as interesting exchanges with others.
If you missed the first meeting(s), it is still possible to participate! Simply contact us and we'll send you all the necessary information to catch up ;)

About the book that we propose:
The author is a son and student of the great teacher T. Krishnamacharya who made the practice of modern yoga popular and accessible to a broad audience (other students of Krishnamacharya are B. K. S. Iyengar, Pattabhi Jois, Indra Devi...). In “The Heart of Yoga”, Desikachar explains essential teachings from his father, from the spiritual tradition of yoga (especially the Yoga Sutras) to its application in a concrete practice routine, adapted to a modern world's perspective.

The study circle starts on January 23rd with a first meeting to come together and introduce the book. You can watch the recording.
In 4 subsequent monthly meetings (Feb. 13,  Mar. 13,  Apr. 17, May 15) we go through the whole book in detail. Each meeting takes place on a Sunday at 12 p.m. Eastern Time and takes 1 hour.

The participation is free (possibility to make a voluntary contribution to support Surya World's activities) and without any obligations. All meetings will be recorded and shared so that you can watch it if you miss one date.

When you register to this event we'll add you to our e-mail distribution list and send you the Zoom links and additional information per e-mail.
